Ivory + Embers is based out of Calgary, Alberta where they create hand-poured scented candles and home decor. For this logo design, the brief was for a very simple wordmark and secondary mark with a minimalist feeling. I was able to create just that, but also incorporate some meaning into the logo. The contrasting font weights evoke the feeling of light and dark associated with the name ‘Ivory + Embers’. In addition the plus sign within the wordmark represents the spark of an ember.
